After deleting Airtable data, that data remains on Airtable's services for a [retention period](/docs/creating-and-managing-data-retention-policies-in-airtable#data-retention-in-airtable-overview) before being permanently deleted. During the retention period, users can recover deleted data through the [trash dialog](/docs/base-trash) or [review and identify updated workspace or base data](/docs/record-level-revision-history-overview)—including which collaborator made changes.

> [!CAUTION]
> NOTE
>
> - To permanently delete your data before Airtable’s retention period is complete, [please contact our support team](/v1/docs/contacting-airtable-support).
> - Once the retention period is complete, your data is permanently deleted and no longer accessible.
