# Pexels extension

The Pexels extension allows you to browse, search, and attach free stock photos to your records—all without leaving Airtable.

> The Pexels extension is only compatible with [attachment fields](/docs/attachment-field).

## Adding a Pexels extension

1. Open your [Airtable home screen](https://airtable.com/).
2. Create or open the base where you want to install the Pexels extension.
3. Click **Tools** in the upper-right corner.
4. Click the **Extensions** option.
5. Click **Add an extension**.
6. Search for and locate the Pexels extension.
7. Click **Add**, then **Add** **extension.**

## Using the Pexels extension in Airtable

To use the Pexels extension in Airtable:

1. Open your [Airtable homepage](https://airtable.com/).
2. Open the base where you want to use the Pexels extension.
3. Click **Extensions** in the top-right corner.
4. Select your preferred record.
  1. Selecting a record will display random Pexels images.
5. Search for your preferred image by entering details in the “Search Pexels for photos...” section.
6. Click **Attach Photo** After selecting the image you want to attach.
