# Third-party integrations - Common troubleshooting

## Initial troubleshooting steps

These integrations can be found in the form of automation triggers or actions, table syncs, extensions, and more. They enable you to project the power of Airtable across your technical stack, but can also increase the complexity of your workflows. If you encounter errors involving a third-party integration with Airtable, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue. If you're unsure of the specific issue, here are some general troubleshooting steps to try:

1. **Try**[**reconnecting the external account**](https://support.airtable.com/docs/managing-accounts-integrated-with-airtable#managing-previously-connected-accounts)**to Airtable.**
2. **Try**[**re-adding the external account as a new connection**](https://support.airtable.com/docs/managing-accounts-integrated-with-airtable#connecting-a-new-account)**.**
3. **Lastly, if you are troubleshooting a sync or an automation, try rebuilding that component from scratch first**. This might require some extra work, but rebuilding the component can help resolve many configuration issues.
