## FAQs

**How is a collaborator's seat type determined?**

A collaborator's seat type (Builder, Contributor, etc.) is determined by the highest-level permissions that the collaborator has on any base or workspace associated with the enterprise account.

For example, a collaborator who was once a Contributor—whose highest permission level was Editor—is now a Builder after creating a new workspace and inviting a user to a base within it because they're now an Owner.
