The Airtable Mac app is now available. If you're interested in trying it out, you can download the app by going to https://airtable.com/mac.
The Airtable Mac app basically looks and acts a whole lot like the web version of Airtable—the same Airtable you know and love, but in a convenient desktop app!
How to download and install the Mac app
- Internet access
- OS X 10.9
- Intel Mac (not PowerPC)
How to download and install the Mac app
Head on over to https://airtable.com/mac. Your browser will automatically start downloading the DMG file. Once your download is done, double-click on the DMG file to open it up. A window will appear with Airtable and a link to your Applications folder—click and drag the Airtable logo into your Applications folder. (You may need to have administrator privileges on your computer in order to install Airtable.)
After installing Airtable, you don't need the DMG file anymore—you can eject/delete it.
N: Opens a new window in the Airtable app
ShiftH: Returns to the Airtable home page
R: Refreshes page
[: Goes back to previous page

ShiftC: Copies the URL of the current page to your clipboard
If you use the Mac desktop app, by default, you will receive Airtable notifications on your desktop. If you have Airtable in your dock, the Airtable icon will show its badge app icon (that's the red circle with the white number in it).
You can hide the badge app icon by going to your Mac's system preferences, then going to the notifications panel:
From the notifications panel, select Airtable and uncheck the badge app icon checkbox.
