A record is the base equivalent of a row in a spreadsheet. Each record is basically an item in a list. For example, in a table of books, each record is a different book. Unlike a spreadsheet, a record in a mobile Airtable base appears as a tappable card.
Note that we do not currently support selecting multiple records at once on the Airtable mobile app.
Tapping on a card will open an expanded form of the associated record, within which you can see all of the data from that record's associated fields.
Reordering records
You can reorder the records by holding your finger on a particular record, and dragging it to a different position in the table.
Adding a new record
To add a new record to a table, press the "+" button at the bottom of the table.
Deleting a record
To delete an existing record in table view, place your finger on the right side of the record. Swipe your finger to the left and a "Delete" button will appear. Tapping this button will bring up a confirmation dialog.
You can also delete a record by opening a record, scrolling to the bottom of the card, and tapping the red "Delete record" button with a trashcan.
Duplicating a record
We now support duplicating a record on both iOS and Android devices. To duplicate a record on an iOS device: tap on an individual record, and from the record's settings menu touch the "duplicate record" option.
To duplicate a record on an Android device: tap on an individual record, and from the record's settings menu(accessed from the three dot menu in the top right) touch the "duplicate record" option.
