This article covers how to give a collaborator the “Upgrader” permission on an Enterprise account. The “Upgrader” user type is only available on FLA licenses. For ELA license customers you can learn how to add other “Admin” user types here.
If you are an Enterprise administrator you can add an “Upgrader” permission type for a user from the user management page in the admin panel.
Locate the existing collaborator that you want to give this permission to by typing in their email address in the top search bar, then click the "Add Upgrader" button.
You’ll then see the “Upgrader” user type added as a label for that collaborator. Once they are set as an upgrader they will be able to upgrade any workspace to an Enterprise level plan through the workspace settings page associated with the workspace they would like to upgrade.
Why don’t “Upgrader” user types exist for ELA license types?
For ELA license types, all workspaces created by enterprise users are automatically placed on the Enterprise plan. This is not true for FLA licenses, where users can have a mixture of workspaces on various Airtable plan types.
