How to copy a table from one base to another

There are three ways you can copy a table from one base to another. They are:

1. By using the copy and paste functions.
2. Exporting the table as a CSV and importing that CSV into another table.
3. Using Airtable Sync to sync tables in a different bases.

Using copy and paste

You can quickly copy a table from one base to another in three steps:

1. Create a new, blank table in the base where you want to copy the information. The only field in that table should be the primary field.
2. Select and copy all of the records in the table you want to copy (Ctrl+C for PC; ⌘+C for Mac).
3. Click the first cell in the new blank table, and paste the records in (Ctrl+V for PC; ⌘+V for Mac).

This will create the fields and information in the new table.

The formatting might be slightly different, but the full configuration of select fields will be imported, even if some of the select options aren't contained in the actual data getting copied / pasted over. However, you will need to reset any linked records (since the link to any foreign tables in your other base will be broken) and calculated fields, because only the displayed text (not the calculations under the hood) will paste over.

Exporting a table as a CSV

If you find yourself needing to move records from one table to another this could done by exporting the table as a CSV then using the CSV import extension to pull the records into the destination table. Similar to using the copy and paste method above, you will need to reset any linked records (since the link to any foreign tables in your other base will be broken) and calculated fields, because only the displayed text (not the calculations under the hood) will paste over.

Using Airtable Sync

Another option would be to use Airtable Sync to sync one table to another base. After you've finished syncing, you can unsync the table (in the destination base) which will remove the sync but leave all records and fields in the table.
