Troubleshooting SSO sign-in (non-admin)

Last updated: September 24, 2026

If your company uses Airtable through single sign-on (SSO) and you can't sign in, this guide will help. Because your company, not Airtable, controls who can sign in through SSO and how, most SSO sign-in problems are resolved by your own IT or identity team. Airtable Support cannot change your organization's SSO settings or reset your SSO password.

Sign in the correct way

  1. Go to airtable.com/login.

  2. Click Continue with Single Sign On.

  3. Enter your work email address (the one on your company's domain, e.g. you@yourcompany.com). You'll be redirected to your company's login page to finish signing in.

If your organization requires SSO, this is the only way to sign in — an Airtable email-and-password won't work.

Not sure if your company uses SSO, or who your identity provider is?

Your identity provider (IdP) is the login service your company uses — for example Okta, Microsoft Entra ID, or Google. If you don't know whether your company uses SSO, which IdP you have, or who your Airtable admin is, contact your company's IT team or Airtable administrator. Airtable Support isn't able to look up or change your company's SSO configuration.

Common messages and what to do

  • "SSO isn't set up for your account" / "SSO is not set up for your email domain."

    • Your account may not yet be added to your organization, your email may not match your organization's domain, or you may not have been granted access to Airtable in your company's IdP. Contact your IT team or Airtable admin.

  • "403 – app not assigned" (or similar).

    • You haven't been granted access to the Airtable app in your company's IdP. Ask your IT team to assign Airtable to your profile.

  • "The email you entered uses SSO" when resetting a password.

    • If your organization requires SSO, you can't use an Airtable password. Sign in with SSO instead.

    • If you need to reset the password for your company login, do that with your IT team — Airtable can't reset a third-party IdP password.

When to contact Airtable Support

For sign-in and access problems on an SSO-managed account, start with your IT team or Airtable admin — they can grant you access, correct the configuration, and reset your company password.

If your admin has confirmed everything is set up correctly on their side and you still can't sign in, they can contact Airtable Support (admins: see Configuring SSO in the admin panel).
