What is Gong?

Gong captures customer interactions then delivers insights at scale, empowering teams to make decisions based on data instead of opinions.

What can you do with Gong as a first-party sync source in Airtable?

Gong brings customer interactions into ProductCentral to help inform your team or company's product roadmap—allowing you to add custom visualizations and interfaces to your managed solution.

What should I consider before integrating Airtable and Gong?

Before integrating Airtable and Gong, we encourage you to consider or take the following actions:

  • Contractual requirements that prohibit third-party export.

  • Mark necessary customer interactions as “Private”—excluding them from Gong/Airtable sync.

  • Airtable uses this integration to request data via HTTPS exclusively for the sync.

  • Before making changes to Airtable, you need to set up an OAuth integration with your Gong account.

Setting up a Gong sync in Airtable

  1. Navigate to the base where you want to create the admin panel sync or create a new base.

  2. Click the + symbol next to your list of tables.

  3. Then, under “Add from other sources,” click the XX more sources… option.

  4. From the window that appears, select Gong.

  5. Select and existing Gong account or click + Connect new Gong account to connect a new one.

  6. Select a start date for calls to begin.

    1. (Optional) select an end date for calls to stop.

    2. If no end date is selected, your table will sync from the start time to the sync time (whether manual or automatic).

      1. For example, if your initial sync is set up on 1/14 with a start time of "1/1-now" on 1/14, the sync is scheduled from 1/1 through the sync time on the 14th.

      2. When the automatic sync starts for the same table on 1/15, the included data will be from 1/1 to the sync time on 1/15.

  7. Once you’ve selected your desired settings, click Create table.

Note

Syncing occurs every 6 hours but can be adjusted to sync only when manually requested.
