     On April 25, 2023, we will deprecate support for the Google Hangouts extension, but it will continue to be usable through June 24, 2023. After June 24, 2023, the Google Hangouts extension will be permanently removed and no longer available for use with Airtable.

    The Google Hangouts extension creates a button with a unique link that everyone on your team can use to jump onto a group video chat. With just one click, you can run a daily standup, have an ad-hoc meeting, or check in with someone who's working from home.

    NOTE

    Extensions let you extend the functionality of your bases: you can use extensions to bring new information into Airtable, visualize and summarize your records in colorful ways, and even directly integrate your Airtable bases with your favorite extensions.

    Once you've added the Google Hangouts extension, there are no additional settings to adjust: the extension creates a button with a unique link that your collaborators can click to open up a dedicated Google Hangout video chat room.

    The Google Hangouts extension is similar to the Whereby extension, another extension that allows you to host group video chats.
