Collaboration export controls in admin panel overview

Collaboration export controls help enterprises prevent data exfiltration by restricting how external collaborators export information from Airtable. Admins can block or limit export actions like:

  • CSV downloads

  • Printing

  • Copying and pasting sensitive data

Admins can also configure domain allowlists to grant trusted external domains limited export privileges.

Configuring domain allowlists ensures:

  • Admins can enforce InfoSec and compliance policies across their organization.

  • External collaborators work productively while respecting data boundaries.

  • Enterprises meet regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, SOX, and FFIEC.

Managing export controls in admin panel

Note

  • Export controls do not allow admins to manage screenshots.

  • Only grant export privileges to trusted partner domains.

To manage export controls in the admin panel:

  1. Open your admin panel.

  2. Click Settings, then Sharing & data.

  3. Scroll to the “Data” section.

  4. Click the arrow icon at the end of the “Data export” row.
