Adding and removing billable workspace collaborators
Note
Business and Enterprise Scale admins can access additional collaboration tools on the Users page of the admin panel..
If you are an admin on a Business or Enterprise Scale plan, consider using the admin panel to manage user or group access.
To add billable workspace collaborators:
Open your Airtable account overview.
Select the workspace you want to add collaborators to from the "Workspace settings" menu.
Click Collaborators or Billable collaborators.
Click Add or manage workspace collaborators from the “Billable collaborators” section.
Enter your collaborator’s email address, select their permission level, and enter an optional message to send in the email they will receive. You can also click the checkbox next to “Notify people” to silently grant their access.
Click Invite.
Note
Alternatively, you can create an “Invite via link” that, when accessed, will share access at a given permission level with another logged-in Airtable user.
To remove billable workspace collaborators:
Open your Airtable account overview.
Select the workspace you want to remove collaborators from in the "Workspace settings" menu.
Click Collaborators or Billable collaborators.
Click Add or manage workspace collaborators from the “Billable collaborators” section.
Click > in the section below “People with access.”
This will open a new window. Select the checkbox next to the collaborator name(s) you want to remove.
Click Remove 1 collaborator. This button will change depending upon the number of collaborators you have selected for removal.
Adding and removing billable base collaborators
To add billable base collaborators:
Open your Airtable home screen.
Open the base where you want to add a billable collaborator.
Click Share.
Enter your collaborator’s email address, select their permission level, and enter an optional message to send in the email they will receive. You can also click the checkbox next to “Notify people” to silently grant their access.
Click Invite.

Open the base where you want to remove a billable collaborator.
Click Share.

This will open a new window. Select the checkbox next to the collaborator name(s) you want to remove.
Note that collaborators with workspace-level access cannot be removed at the base level and, instead, must be removed at the workspace level. Hover over their permission level and click the square and arrow icon
that appears to adjust their workspace permissions.
Click Remove 1 collaborator. This button will change depending upon the number of collaborators you have selected for removal.

To add billable interface collaborators:
Open your Airtable home screen.
Open the base connected to the interface where you want to add a collaborator.
Click Interfaces.
Click Share interface.
At least one interface must first be published in order for this button to become clickable.
Enter your collaborator’s email address, select their permission level, and enter an optional message to send in the email they will receive. You can also click the checkbox next to “Notify people” to silently grant their access.
Click Invite.

To remove billable interface collaborators:
Open your Airtable home screen.
Open the base connected to the interface where you want to remove a collaborator.
Click Interfaces.
Click Share interface.
Click > in the section below “Collaborators with access.”
This will open a new window. Click the ⌄ icon under the “Permission” column, next to the interface collaborator you want to remove.
Note that collaborators with workspace-level or base-level access cannot be removed at the interface level and, instead, must be removed at their appropriate surface level.
Lowering their permission to Read-only interface access or clicking Remove access will remove them from being considered “Billable collaborators.”
Upgrading and downgrading billable workspace collaborator permissions
Open your Airtable account overview.
Select the workspace you want to change collaborator permissions in the "Workspace settings" menu.
Click Add or manage workspace collaborators under the “Billable collaborators” section.
Click > in the section below “People with access.”
This will open a new window. Select the checkbox next to the collaborator name(s) you want to upgrade or downgrade.
Click the ⌄ icon under the “Permission” column, then select your preferred permission for that collaborator.

Removing yourself from bases, interfaces, and workspaces
Note
Business and Enterprise Scale admins can utilize the Users, Interfaces, and Workspaces page in admin panel to understand and modify user access on each of those surfaces.
If you are a workspace-level collaborator, you cannot remove your base access, as workspace collaborators have access to all bases in a workspace. Instead, in the “Permission” column, click the link next to your permission level to access the workspace permission settings.
To remove your access from a workspace:
Open your Airtable account overview.
Select the workspace you want to remove yourself from the "Workspace settings" menu.
Click Collaborators.
Click Add or manage workspace collaborators.
Click > in the section below “People with access.”
This will open a new window. Select the checkbox next to your name.
Click Remove 1 collaborator.
Note
You cannot remove yourself from a workspace where you are the last owner. You’ll need to grant another user owner permissions first or fully delete your account.
To remove yourself from a base:
Open your Airtable home screen.
Open the base where you want to remove yourself.
Click Share in the top-right corner.
Click > in the section below “People with access.”
This will open a new window. Select the checkbox next to your name.
Click Remove 1 collaborator.
To remove yourself from an interface:
Open your Airtable home screen.
Open the base connected to the interface where you want to remove yourself.
Click Interfaces.
Click Share interface.
Click > in the section below “People with access.”
This will open a new window. Click the ⌄ icon under the “Permission” column, next to the interface collaborator you want to remove.
Click Remove access.

How do I review my workspace collaborators?

Click Collaborators.

Can my workspace collaborators invite additional collaborators?
Any collaborator you have added can also add collaborators at the same or a lower permission level.
For example, a collaborator with commenter permission can only invite collaborators with Commenter or Read-only permissions.
How do I limit what workspaces and bases my collaborators can access?
To limit what your collaborators can access:
Share only base access instead of base and workspace access
Create and share a view instead of sharing complete base and workspace access.
Who can create workspace and base share links?
Collaborators with Owner and Creator permissions can create workspace and base invite links.
Collaborators with Creator-level base permissions can create and remove base invite links for the base(s) the owner shared with them, but they cannot create workspace invite links for the workspace in which the base is located.
How do I delete workspace or base share links?

To delete workspace share links:
Open your Airtable account overview.
Select the workspace with share links you want to delete from the "Workspace settings" menu.
Click Collaborators.
Click Add or manage workspace collaborators.
Click the > button below the “Invite via link” section.
Click the edit invite link button
next to the workspace share link that you want to delete.
Click Delete link.
