Creating, canceling, and deleting your Airtable account

Last updated: August 7, 2026

Business and Enterprise Scale plan admins can manage their workspace plans in the admin panel.

Creating an Airtable account

To create an Airtable account:

  1. Go to https://airtable.com/signup.

  2. Enter your email address, SSO, Google credentials, or Apple ID.

  3. Click Continue and follow the on-screen instructions.

Canceling your workspace plan

Because Airtable bills per workspace rather than per account, workspace Owners need to remove the payment method from each workspace (Team and Business plans) before deleting their accounts to ensure they aren’t billed after the workspace’s billing period ends.

How do I downgrade my self-serve workspace plan to a Free plan before deleting my account?

Downgrading to the Free plan before deleting your account

Before you can delete your Airtable account, you'll need to move any paid workspaces to the Free plan. The steps depend on your current plan.

If you're on the Team plan, downgrading to Free and deleting your account are separate actions — downgrade first, then delete whenever you're ready.

If you're on the Business plan, downgrading to Free and deleting your organization happen in a single flow. Once confirmed, this can't be undone.

Downgrading a Team plan to the Free plan

  1. Open your Airtable account page.

  2. Under "Workspace settings," select the workspace you want to downgrade.

  3. Click Change or cancel plan.

  4. Review the listed changes on the confirmation screen, then click Continue cancellation.

  5. Complete the feedback survey if prompted.

Your workspace will switch to the Free plan at the end of your current billing period. You'll keep access to all Team plan features until then.

Downgrading a Business plan to the Free plan

Downgrading a Business plan permanently deletes your organization and all associated settings. All workspaces in your organization will move to the Free plan at the end of your billing cycle.

  1. Open your admin panel.

  2. Click Billing.

  3. In the "Plan details" section, click the three-dot menu and select Downgrade.

  4. On the "Downgrade plan and delete organization" page, read each listed change and check every acknowledgment checkbox.

  5. Click Acknowledge changes.

  6. In the confirmation modal, enter your organization's name and click Delete organization.

Your workspaces will move to the Free plan on the date shown in the confirmation modal.
