Gantt layout in timeline view

  • Owners/Creators - Can create, delete, modify, lock/unlock, and print views

  • Editors - Can create, delete, modify, and print views

  • Commentors - Can create, delete, and modify their own personal views

With the Gantt layout in timeline view, each record is visible in its lane, and dependencies are displayed as arrows between records (shown below). You can drag additional arrows between records to create dependency links.

  1. Visit your Airtable homepage.

  2. Open your preferred base.

  3. Select your preferred timeline view.

  4. Click Appearance in the menu and select the “Gantt” icon.

  5. Click the ⌄ icon next to the “Record height” section and choose Short.

  6. Click the ⌄ icon next to the “Record width” section and choose Precise.

  1. Using Gantt layout in an interface:

  2. Visit your Airtable homepage.

  3. Open your preferred base.

  4. Click Interfaces.

  5. Select your preferred timeline view.

  • The Gantt layout works in both timeline views and as a visualization in Airtable interface layouts, while Gantt view is only available in bases.

  • All records must be "Short" in height and "Precise" in width to Gantt layout in timeline view.
