Note
Airtable Business and Enterprise Scale plans are handled differently. Please contact our sales team if you have further questions.
The cost of upgrading a workspace (and of paying for subsequent months/years of a premium Airtable plan) is affected by the permission levels of your collaborators. Workspaces on the free plan do include a limit on base or workspace collaborators with editor permissions or higher. More information on Airtable plans and pricing is located here.
When calculating your bill, adding users with the following permissions/access level will increase the charges on your per-month or per-year invoice in the associated workspace:
Workspace owners
Workspace collaborators at the creator level
Workspace collaborators at the editor level
Workspace collaborators at the commenter level
Base collaborators at the creator level with access to at least one base in the workspace in question
Base collaborators at the editor level with access to at least one base in the workspace in question
Base collaborators at the commenter level with access to at least one base in the workspace in question
Interface collaborators at the editor level on an interface
Interface collaborators at the commenter level on an interface
However, on your workspace's Team plan none of the following types of collaborators will count toward the number of users in your workspace (and therefore, their access will not increase your per-month or per-year charge):
Read-only workspace collaborators
Read-only base collaborators
Read-only interface collaborators
Workspace, base, or interface collaborators at any level that have been invited to create an Airtable account, but who have not yet accepted the invitation
